For change to take place change has to happen

Today we live in an ever changing world and right now it is changing in many unpredictable ways!

The way we adapt to this, or any, change depends on many things - some are within our control and some are not.

However, there is one overwhelming factor that can influence all of the change we experience; the way we choose to react to CHANGE!

Change can be positive or negative and both can have the same or the opposite effect on our life.

That's Right!

Negative change can have a negative or positive effect on your life and visa versa and you can learn to control the process!

Success; what is it?

All too often success is measured by the material things we have: Cash, Condo, Career, Car & Credit Card.

However, if that were truly a measure of success, then people with the 5 C’s would be happy and those without; would not; but we know that isn’t a truism?

I believe that success in life comes from having purpose, commitment, contentment and being happy!

When I say happy what do I mean?

Happiness is a state of mind, a consistent state of wellbeing and not one contingent on any other condition, e.g. I will be happy if this or that happens. or if I get this I will be happy etc.

We can all experience sadness or happiness; but that doesn't make us a sad or happy person!

People or things don't make us sad or happy people per se; they only allow us to experience those emotions in the moment! True happiness is a state that exists separate to the experience of the emotion of being happy.

If you only experience happiness when you receive something or some event happens, I would call this transient happiness; because it doesn't last.

True happiness is like water in a pipe, it's always there; and you can turn it on anytime, it is a part of who you are!

You will be defined as a happy person, as it's a part of your personality; one of those things that transcends your physical being!

Happiness is your right; it's up to you to claim it!

Most of the people I see desire to be happy. But very rarely do they make happiness a study. Yet, in reality, that is exactly what we should do. In order to do anything well we need to make it an object of study.


Change Therapy brings Balance, Success & Happiness into YOUR Life!

I believe three elements are essential for this to happen:

  • Forgiveness
  • Acceptance
  • Self-Love

Forgiveness: is essential in order to let go. When we let go we are no longer in the grip of whatever was causing the unwanted emotion. It is well to note there is a big difference between letting something go and suppressing or repressing it!

Acceptance: For the most part I believe we do the best we can with what we have at any given time. It is easy to look back, with the benefit of hindsight, and criticise ourself or say IF! Acceptance comes from understanding that we could have, but we didn't; PERIOD! As you progress through the stages of Therapy it becomes easier to understand how this can happen.

Self Love: I define as a deep appreciation of the self. When we can forgive & accept the who, why & what, Life & Living become a Joy. Self-Love is easier to obtain when you understand the necessity of Forgiveness and Acceptance. However, it is an almost natural transition once you do it; Forgive and Accept that is!

Living a life of Joy amounts to:

  • Forgiveness
  • Acceptance &
  • Love

The day you choose to change things; Things will start to change

How can this be ?

Simply by the way we choose to respond to the experience. That process is mostly governed by how we think & feel

So, what is it that affects our thinking & feeling?

To a large extent the way we think or feel is the result of how we experience life - or to be more precise - how we construct our model of the world; what we call our Belief & Value system!

To better understand how we can effect the change in our life, sometimes we can stand back and ask our self this question. "If I choose to do nothing, will nothing happen as a result?" The answer will almost always be NO. We can almost never do nothing and have nothing happen; there are usually consequences!
