THE BRILLIANCE OF EINSTEIN

Below is a collection of Quotes By Albert Einstein. Despite his obvious brilliance Einstein was a very simple man, both in the way he lived life and saw the world.

Sometimes we can benefit from stepping back from the hustle and bustle of modern living and becoming more simplistic about what we really want and need.

I remember many years ago going to Lake Toba and to Samosa Island, the home of the Batak People. What was strange, was that they seemed to want what we had and I certainly wanted what they had; a very peaceful and uncomplicated life. http://www.tribaltextiles.info/Countries/Indonesia/Indonesia_Batak03.htm ;

At that time my business was going through a particularly difficult time and the stress seemed insurmountable. Following that trip I decided to do something about it; and do it I did. Today my life is so much more meaningful, simple and enjoyable.

 The most important thing I have learned is that happiness is an inside job. In that, it is what you experience internally that makes you happy. The quality of your thinking,  the amount of peace and calm you experience on a daily or hourly basis, being able to love and accept yourself without judgment or condemnation; to name but a few! The major consequence of self love is your ability to attract more love towards you; we attract what is the focus of our mind!

Love and Happiness create good and beneficial Neurotransmitters, Hormones, Peptides etc. to flow through our body (and mind); these chemicals regulate stress! So, in this sense,  the experience of Love and Happiness becomes a stress prevention strategy, as opposed to a stress management one; and we all know that prevention is better than cure?

I sincerely hope the wisdom of Albert offers you an insight to the futility of material acquisition; that is if you are doing to as a means to pursue happiness. Enjoy!
