Lose weight with hypnotherapy and find emotional freedom
How Hypnosis Helps With Weight Reduction
The healthiest way for you to reduce weight is not necessarily the quickest weight reduction method. Crash diets, "instant" weight reduction plans or drastic increases in exercise are not recommended and most doctors consider these approaches to weight reduction unhelpful or, in some circumstances, maybe even dangerous. Exercise and a healthy diet are always recommended as part of a weight-reduction plan and changes should follow a gradual reduction pathway, thus ensuring that you find a balanced, natural and safe way to lose weight. After all, we usually do not gain a lot of weight in an instant, so it takes a little time and careful planning to lose it. Part of that planning is to discover and understand the psychological aspects of why you gained weight, i.e. is it through comfort (emotional) eating? These are powerful subconscious motivations and the weight gain is more often than not, merely a collateral effect of getting that emotional support. The fact that it leads to other problems, like body image issues, lack of energy, health and fitness, which can now exacerbate the problem, creating more emotions that now also need feeding, a bit of an unmerry-go-round!
These psychological drivers, habits and other emotional factors lurk in the background and often filter out into many areas of our lives, creating discomfort, disillusion and personal contempt! And it is because of this subconscious component, that hypnosis helps. Hypnosis helps us to discover these hidden weight reduction wreckers; the underlying emotions that lead us towards self-sabotaging strategies. What complicates it for us though, is that we can, and often do, justify all of our behaviours and strategies; why wouldn't we, after all, they too came from our subconscious!. What we need to discover is, that what we want consciously, is not always what we want at a deeper level; sounds illogical doesn't it? Well the subconscious or unconscious processes are exactly that; illogical and the best way to work with illogic, is to think illogically' it's quite logical really!
It is not so much about learning to align ourselves with our thinking but rather by discovering how our thinking evolves. Memory is an automatic function of life, especially emotional memory, it's one of the most basic components of life, basically, if we can't remember when, where, why and how we were in danger, we are more likely to become emotionally vulnerable, this situation provokes emotional instability and anxiety is one way the brain attempts to reestablish stability. All things being equal, it does a pretty good job., however, when anxiety becomes a disorder, all things are not equal and that is when we go off the rails, so to speak! Hypnotherapy helps us to discover how our nonconscious world works. Once we start to work the way our brain works, life begins to get better and hypnosis makes that possible - it really does!
This is because of the unique way our brain processes language and converts that into meaning. We use our spoken language to communicate with each other, as well as, ourselves. Our brain converts spoken into a chemical language and vice versa, a language that we call the subconscious mind. The brain stores this in memories and it is the way that this then translates into emotion, that creates the feeling that we call life! The emotional drivers that make us eat, even when we are not hungry, are the very things that make us gain weight. It is because of the way the brain finds pleasure in certain foods, e.g. chocolate, cakes, as well as drinks like Coca Cola, maybe even alcopops, that emotional relief is experienced, this occurs through our reward pathways. It is the insatiable ways in which the brain experiences emotional relief, that allows us to ignore the weight gain, the knowledge that our lifestyle and body weight etc. are actually doing us harm! Hypnosis allows you to better understand the emotional needs and what drives them and from there, a better sense of self develops, you become less reliant on the outside world and more reliant on your inner self. It is because we think little of ourselves, that we need the approval, validation and acceptance of the outside world. Self-esteem, as well as self-love, is an inside job and hypnotherapy will teach you that!

Successful weight reduction is as much about changing subconscious habits as it is about diet and exercise, making hypnosis the most natural and safe way of reducing weight.
Enter the Leptin Ghrelin dilemma
Successful weight reduction is as much, if not more, about re-educating your brain (the subconscious department), as it is about dieting. Hypnosis is one of the most natural ways to reduce weight because the main reason we often gain weight, is because of the way our brain rationalises our emotional experience of life. Rarely do we ever wait until we are hungry to eat, we mostly eat at prescribed times and sometimes snack in between those times. It gets complicated because of the way our brain monitors our Full/Empty fuel gauge. Ghrelin is a hormone in the gut that tells our brain it is hungry and leptin is a hormone that tells us we are full. Leptin is produced in fat cells, so the more fat you have, the more leptin you produce. Well, if you have more leptin, that will tell you to stop eating, right? Unfortunately not because if we have too much leptin, we can become leptin resistant, meaning we are full, we just don't know it!. So, without getting too technical, a lot of the issues we have with weight, are sometimes a consequence of confusing brain functions. Ghrelin is also produced in the hypothalamus, a consequence of stress. So, we have a hormone that is supposed to tell us when we are full but we may now be resistant to it and we have another one that may be telling us we are hungry, when we may not be because we are too stressed. Hypnotherapy can help by making us calmer, less stress, less erroneous ghrelin and lowering our food intake to what is sufficient to meet our daily needs, could help to restabilise normal leptin production. Hypnotherapy also helps to deal with the emotional roller coaster called life. So, when we help our brain to normalise, we become emotionally in control and this often allows the brain Full/Empty fuel gauge to work as it is designed to do.
Why diets often don't work: only 1 in 200 dieters achieve their goal?
Research shows that only 1 out of every 200 dieters actually achieves their goals! The failure rate of diets and weight reduction programs is 99.5%. The Washington Post reports that "out of every 200 people who go on a diet, only ten lose all the weight they set out to lose." And of those ten, only one person keeps it off for any reasonable length of time. Perhaps you are or have been a dieter, maybe you've tried everything you can think of to lose weight and then been faced with the most difficult thing of all, keeping it off.
If your weight reduction attempts have been unsuccessful or difficult, perhaps your subconscious mind has been working against you. Your thoughts and behaviours are largely controlled by brain processes that occur outside of conscious awareness, in fact, clinical research has shown that 98% of everything we do stems from this form of subconscious programming. This is why we so often seem to find ourselves doing the very things we try hard not to do.
Diets and many of the current weight reduction fads are not recommended by most professionals, who consider such an approach to weight reduction as dangerous. Physical exercise and sensible eating will always be part of any useful weight-reduction plan, and when these are combined with a course of Hypnotherapy you can look forward to better than ever results.
